At HINGED SOLUTIONS INC., we provide technical consulting services to the architectural openings industry focusing on commercial, industrial, institutional and Fire & Life Safety construction.
Our Consultants on staff are Architectural Hardware Consultants (AHC), accredited by the Door and Hardware Institute (DHI). All consultants are current with the Continuing Education Program (CEP) which requires continual education on products, material, codes and trends.
Our AHC’s are your dedicated partner in providing solutions and advice throughout the project life cycle. We assist and guide our clients through the process to make informed decisions on what is required for their openings in the best interest of the client, while meeting all life safety requirements.

Managing Partner, AHC
Kristi Scott is an Architectural Hardware Consultant with a Business Diploma from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Communication and Leadership Program. Over the past 25 years Kristi worked across Canada but focused in the Okanagan Valley and BC Markets. She has held positions in Procurement, Project Management, Branch Management, General Management and served as a Chief Operating Officer most recently.
Kristi’s passion for the industry and the love of the challenges this industry brings keeps her fresh and engaged. Whether it is new products, people, manufacturers or education there is always something to learn. She feels that the ability to adapt to this industry’s ever-changing environment and the courage to go after new challenges is one of her greatest strengths.
She brings a very youthful energy and unlimited enthusiasm to everything she does. She has stayed true to her beliefs that with honesty, integrity, dedication and detail this will continue to maintain her commitment to excellence in all areas of accountability.

Mike Sanders started his career in architectural openings with McGregor & Thompson Hardware Ltd. in 2000 while studying sciences and electronic engineering at Okanagan University College. With nearly 20 years in the industry, Mike had a hand in managing some of the largest door and hardware projects in BC. Having become an Architectural Hardware Consultant (AHC) in 2014, Mike has held positions in Project Management and Branch Management while most recently having led teams as a Regional Manager for the Okanagan/Lower Mainland area.
Mike enjoys a challenge and is passionate about process improvement and evolving systems. He is always looking at new technology and systems to increase the efficiency and create quality control. He also takes pride in being able to support the development of others.
Beyond work, Mike is a family man spending as much time as possible with his wife and two daughters. His family often gives him a hard time when catching him examining doors in new places.
